#TechTipTuesday Sharing, there's an app for that

Today the app stores are bursting at the seams with production apps, fun games, photo editing apps, you name it and they've got it.

I thought today I'd share a few quick and easy to use apps that can result in simplified sharing.

1. Instagram - Take a picture and share it.
Great free app, easy to use and connect with other social media apps/tools.

For years I've shared with principals, teachers, admin, and anyone who'd listen: Blogging made easy is a picture a day.

People love seeing what is going on in your classrooms/buildings everyday. Instagram makes it easy to share and to share to multiple venues.

2. Vine - 5 second videos that loop.
This tool allows you take up to 5 seconds of footage and share it. You can share your Vines directly from the app to Twitter ,Facebook, and Tumblr if you choose.

Best suggestion: Ask your kids to create a Vine each day demonstrating the learning that is going on that day.

3. Periscope - Live Streaming made easy.

Live streaming is popular, hop on the band wagon and give it a try. Classes could share weekly conversations about what they are doing, connect with other broadcasters, ask questions  and connect with a global audience.

Admins, setup a regular schedule and do a live Q/A or weekly roundup of the going ons in your building/district.

Protip - Make sure you choose "Save to camera roll" after your broadcast to upload your video to your YouTube Channel later . (Also film in landscape)

Hope you give any one or all three of these a try this month.

You can find me on all three, just search for TheTechSpec.

As always,
Stay tuned and
Stay connected.
